Cookie statement
In short
We set no advertising cookies and no cross-site trackers. The public site uses local browser storage, not tracking cookies. Optional measurement stays off until you turn it on.
Essential storage
To remember your privacy choice, we keep a small record in your browser local storage. It carries your consent decision and its version, nothing else. Without it the site could not honour your choice. The owner area, used only by administrators, relies on a session cookie to keep a signed in owner logged in.
Analytics (optional, off by default)
If you allow analytics, we store a first-party visitor identifier and a session identifier in your browser to group your visits. We measure page views, visible section time, scroll depth, marked clicks, and performance. We do not use third-party analytics cookies. Visitor and session data expire after no more than 180 days.
Device recognition (optional, separate)
If you additionally allow device recognition, one hashed first-party identifier is stored to recognise a returning device. Browser, screen, canvas, WebGL, and font signals are calculated locally and only a final hash, version, and time are sent, then protected again on the server with a secret key. This is a separate permission you can decline while keeping analytics.
How to control it
Use “Privacy settings” in the footer of every page to change or withdraw permission at any time, as easily as you gave it. Withdrawal clears local identifiers and requests server deletion. You can also clear site storage in your browser, which resets your choice.
